Become a member for a free EYNC parking pass or purchase a $7 daily parking pass at the ranger kiosk on Tarshes Drive.

Collecting Policy:
No collecting or harvesting natural elements from the Nature Study Area (NSA) per The American River Parkway Plan NSA Guidelines 2008 edition.
Food and Allergy Warning:
Fish and Nuts are used in some of our programs in public spaces. Please check calendar before you visit.
We are NOT a wildlife rescue
We cannot accept animal donations.
Trail Tips:
We practice Leave No Trace - please tread carefully and pack out everything out. Stay on Trails - Rattlesnakes and Ticks Warning! Please keep pets at home.
Closed toed shoes are suggested. No bikes. No smoking.

Groups without scheduled programs are welcome in the Nature Center and Nature Study Area after 1:00 pm. Unscheduled or walk-in groups are required to pay County Park entrance fees: $7 per car ($10 on holidays & holiday weekends) or $28 per bus. According to the American River Parkway Plan, groups walking the trails must have 20 or less. Please call the Nature Center ahead of time and register as a walk-in group.
